However, it would have been appreciated if they had dropped us off at Syntagma like the Poseidon tour, as we were all tired for the metro. Our guide was Stavros, who was very knowledgeable about the locations and rather than just explaining what we were seeing, he worked hard to explain their significance and impact on our modern world. This is the place where our modern ideas of democracy and education began, and Stavros helped to put all of this into perspective with our own experiences today. This tour does require a lot of walking, and climbing steep ramps and steps.”
